As if their picture perfect landscapes and brag-worthy winter weather weren’t enough, two areas of the Valley have something additional to brag about: They’re among the top 100 places to live in the U.S.
Mesa and Tempe were ranked numbers 32 and 18, respectively, with Tucson barely squeaking by at number 99.
The list was complied by Livability.com, a "resource for anyone looking to discover the best places to live, work and visit," according to the 'About' section of their website.
So what makes Mesa, Tempe and Tucson such desirable places to live?
"This year, we examined more than 1,000 cities based on thousands of data points measuring economics, housing, amenities, infrastructure, demographics, social and civic capital, education and health care. This is how we calculate each city's LivScore, which you'll see on each city page," Winona Dimeo-Ediger, Livability.com's Editor-in-Chief wrote on the website.
Boise, Idaho may have snagged the number one spot on Livability.com's list, but Arizonans know there's no better place to live year-round than the Valley of the Sun.
