Tempe police are investigating after a person was struck and killed by a car in Tempe Saturday night.
Authorities received reports of the incident around 10:30 p.m. in the area of McClintock Drive and Broadway Road.
According to Tempe police, a pedestrian was hit by a car in the area while crossing the street mid-block.
Police say the victim, only identified as an elderly man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver showed no signs of impairment after the crash and stayed at the scene, according to police.
Broadway Road was shut down in both directions for the investigation.
