A football player for Arizona State University was arrested on Tuesday.
A spokesperson for ASU police said linebacker Ismael Murphy-Richardson was arrested for fraudulent use of a credit card on Tuesday.
Other media reports suggest this arrest is in connection to the arrest of two other ASU football players, Jayme Otomewo and Deonte Reynolds. They were arrested for 2nd degree burglary charge in December.
According to the police report, Otomewo was found with a butter knife in his pocket and stolen credit cards.
Murphy-Richardson has been dismissed from the ASU football program permanently. He finished the season with 15 tackles and 2.5 sacks. He played 12 games for the Sun Devils in 2015.
Murphy-Richardson is from Goodyear and went to Desert Edge High School.
