TEMPE, AZ — Police are investigating a deadly double shooting late Wednesday night in Tempe.
Officers were called to the area of Priest Drive and Broadway Road around 11:40 p.m. for a shooting call.
An 18-year-old man was found inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound, and a second shooting victim, a 19-year-old man, was also found outside the vehicle. Both were taken to the hospital for treatment, but police say the 18-year-old man died from his injuries. The second victim has life-threatening injuries, and as of Thursday afternoon, was listed in critical condition.
Neither of the victims have been identified yet.
The investigation is ongoing, but police say this incident does not appear to be connected to a shooting earlier in the evening at Tempe's Arizona Mills Mall, which left a man with serious injuries.
Detectives have not identified a suspect or suspects, and ask that anyone with information regarding this incident to reach out to Tempe police.
