TEMPE, AZ — Police say two people were rushed to the hospital after the car they were riding in crashed into a pole in Tempe Saturday night.
Authorities say the car veered off the road near Alameda and Priest drives and struck a light pole nearby.
The man and woman inside were not restrained and suffered potentially life-threatening injuries, according to Tempe Police Officer Christopher Anderson.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, but police say they believe impairment was a factor.
The victims are not being identified at this time.
