A Tempe resident was shot during an apparent home invasion involving masked suspects overnight.
Tempe police say officers were called to the home near Rural Road and US-60 around 11 p.m. Wednesday.
Officials learned that multiple people wearing masks forced entry into the home. One of the suspects fired multiple rounds from a firearm, including one that struck the resident.
The victim was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the suspects fled the scene and have not yet been located. It's unclear whether the suspects took off with anything from the home.
