Posted

Police are looking for a suspected robber who attempted to conceal his identity using a trash bag.

According to police, the 25- to 30-year-old man entered a Chevron gas station near Guadalupe and Kyrene roads on March 22 and pretended to point a weapon at the clerk.

The clerk tried to fend off the suspect, who gave up on his attempted heist and sped away down Guadalupe Road on a bicycle.

Police have described the suspect as a Hispanic male, between 5 feet 11 inches and six feet 1 inch tall, 200 pounds with short black hair and a goatee. Besides the trash bag, he was also wearing a white t-shirt, black shorts and brown work boots.

Police are offering a $1,000 reward for any information that leads to an arrest. Silent Witness can be reached at 480-WITNESS.
