TEMPE, AZ — Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed in Tempe Monday night.
Officers were called to the scene near US 60 and Mill avenue around 7:10 p.m. to investigate a shooting in the area.
When officers arrived on scene, they found the man suffering from a gunshot wound.
The man was transported to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries, police say.
"Preliminary information indicates this does not appear to be a random act of violence," according to Tempe Police Detective Natalie Barela.
