The Tempe Police Department says 26-year-old Zachary Alosi was arrested Saturday evening for barricading himself in the bathroom of an urgent care.

Police say Alosi also has an open case with the Scottsdale Police Department for kidnapping and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. So far the details of that incident have not been made available.

Officers responded to the urgent care near Scottsdale and Curry roads around 3:30 p.m. Saturday after staff said a patient went into the bathroom and did not come out.

Police evacuated the building and used smoke canisters to get Alosi to come out of the bathroom. Police eventually used a Taser on Alosi to control him, and he at one point ran into a glass window, shattering it.

He was taken to the hospital without serious injuries, and may have been under the influence of drugs.

Alosi has been charged with felony criminal damage, disorderly conduct and trespassing for the incident.
