Tempe police involved in shooting near ASU campus

Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting near Arizona State University's Tempe campus. 

The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in the area of University Drive and Farmer Avenue. 

Officials say all officers are OK.

Tempe police say they were tracking a wanted fugitive along with help from the US Marshals and located him near the area. One officer fired a "less lethal" beanbag bullet that hit the suspect. Another officer fired his gun toward the suspect, but the suspect was not shot.

The suspect was reportedly wanted for crimes in Colorado. His identity has not been released.

The suspect was transported to the hospital for minor injuries.
