Two suspects in custody after stabbing on ASU campus overnight

TEMPE, AZ — Two suspects are in custody after a reported stabbing on the Arizona State University campus in Tempe overnight.

According to ASU police, the two suspects and a 53-year-old man got into an altercation near University Drive and Mill Avenue, leading to the man being stabbed.

The first suspect is being identified as 23-year-old Erlinda Perez, and the second suspect is identified as 25-year-old Jermaine Platt-Jones.

Police say they were located near Tempe Town Lake.

The victim reportedly was taken to the hospital with multiple stab wounds, but they are being classified as non-life-threatening.

The pair is being processed and will face charges related to the assault.
