TEMPE, AZ — Minor injuries were reported after a car accidentally drove into a building near Southern and Mill avenues Thursday.

The two people who were hit by the car in the security video were a sales representative and a Remy Co. employee.

According to Tempe police, the driver accidentally left their vehicle in drive and hit the accelerator, going into the building.

The driver of the car won't face any criminal charges for the crash, but they were arrested for an unrelated warrant, according to Tempe police.

"It felt like an earthquake more than anything," said the sales representative, who didn't want to be identified.

He said he's recovering from some cuts on his head, arms and legs. He also got five stitches in his hand.

"At that moment, I thought I was going to go, but thank the lord I didn't," said the sales representative.

The employee is still in the hospital, but is expected to be okay.

Store owner Bok Park said he expects they'll be closed for up to a week for repairs.

Dozens of customers were turned away on Thursday. Upon seeing the video, some were shocked the two walked away with just minor injuries.

Park said he hopes to open sooner but the crash caused a domino effect which damaged some inventory and knocked out thousands of items.
