AVONDALE, AZ — A Redbone Coonhound is in an Arizona Humane Society foster home recovering after being found shot with a pellet gun.
The Humane Society says one-year-old Gunner had a secondary hemothorax, which means blood was found in his chest.
An Emergency Animal Medical Technician found Gunner in April. It's unclear who is responsible for the shooting and if anyone was arrested.

AHS says Gunner very easily could have died from the injury but luckily pulled through.
He will be in a foster home recovering until the end of the month before becoming available for adoption.
