AVONDALE, AZ — An armed robbery suspect has life-threatening injuries after being shot in Avondale Thursday night.
Avondale police say at about 7:15 p.m. they responded to an armed robbery call at a smoke shop near Dysart Road and Van Buren Street.
When they arrived on scene, they located the male suspect on the north side of Van Buren after fleeing the scene.
The man was reportedly shot in the leg and was transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.
