Police are searching for the driver who struck a mother and child walking in Avondale Monday night.

The incident happened around 6:45 p.m. near Litchfield Road and MC85 in Avondale.
Both patients were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to Avondale police.
There is no suspect or vehicle description at this time.
