An active police situation has shut down Interstate 10 eastbound in the West Valley.
According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, I-10 eastbound between Litchfield Road and Avondale Boulevard is closed.
ADOT officials say the closure is expected to be lengthy. There is no timetable on when the roadway will be reopened.
There is no information available on the details of the police situation at this time.
