BUCKEYE, AZ — Police have released body camera video of a shooting on Christmas Night 2018. A night that shattered the peace and quiet of the holiday after a man let loose a barrage of gunfire in a Buckeye neighborhood.

The violence started with a 911 call from inside a home near Yuma Road and Verrado Way. A woman had called police saying her boyfriend had pulled a gun on her.

She told police she had her two young sons in the house as well as her boyfriend's mother. Police were able to get them out of harms way, but say 34-year-old Antonio Armando Ramos made suicidal statements and refused to come out of the home.

Shortly after 6 p.m., police say Ramos came out of the home and opened fire with a high powered rifle.

Police say Ramos opened fire again a short time later, before going back inside the home.

A swat robot was later used to check the house and Ramos was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation later revealed he had fired 50 rounds. No officers were injured
