BUCKEYE, AZ — The Buckeye Police Department says a suspect wanted for sexual exploitation of a minor, molestation of a child and sex abuse has been arrested after fleeing a traffic stop.

Police say 27-year-old Daniel Rene Torres has also been convicted of illegal possession of a firearm in California.

Police say they attempted a high risk stop of Torres on Wednesday morning, as he was driving a white four-door 2013 Honda Accord near Watson and Yuma roads.

Torres initially began to stop, but then fled at a high rate of speed onto Interstate 10. He was located later in the day and taken into custody. It's unclear where he was found.

Police also believe there was a Hispanic female in the vehicle with him at the time. It’s unclear if that female was an adult or a minor, or if she was present when Torres was arrested.
