BUCKEYE, AZ — The Buckeye Police Department is searching for two suspects involved in a string of auto thefts, burglaries and a shooting.

Authorities say around 4:45 a.m. Thursday, August 13, officers were called to a shooting on Shadow Lane, near Verrado Way and Yuma Road.

They found two victims inside a pickup truck which had been struck at least once by bullets.

The victims said one of their vehicles had been burglarized by two suspects. As they attempted to confront the suspects, one of the suspects pulled out a handgun.

The victims then tried to drive away and one of the suspects started shooting, striking their truck and nearly hitting the driver.

As officers searched the area they discovered several other vehicles with open doors and obvious signs that someone had entered them. They also located a truck in the area of the shooting and discovered it had been reported stolen the following evening from the same neighborhood.

Evidence was located that linked the two suspects to the shooting, the stolen vehicle and the multiple vehicle burglaries, police said.

The first suspect is described as 15-18 years old, about 5'7" tall, about 145 pounds, "Peach Fuzz" with a slight mustache and was wearing a Karl Malone (Utah Jazz) #32 jersey with black jeans and tennis shoes.

The second suspect is described as 15-18 years old, about 5'5" tall, about 130 pounds, a slight mustache, and was wearing a short sleeve shirt and jeans.
