BUCKEYE, AZ — Authorities say a young boy injured in a zip line incident last month has died.
On June 24, first responders were called to a home near 212th Avenue and Elliot Road. Officials say an 8-year-old was on a zip line when he was injured and rushed to the hospital.
The zip line platform appeared to be about 30 feet in the air on private property.
Friday, officials said the child had died of his injuries.
MCSO said it appeared what happened was a "tragic accident," though said the investigation was ongoing.
