Maricopa County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a fatal accident involving a pedestrian.

Deputies say the victim was crossing the street near Estrella Parkway and MC85 when he was struck and killed.

The man was not in a crosswalk when he was hit, according to MCSO.
Authorities are still investigating whether the driver was impaired.
