BUCKEYE, AZ — A man was shot and killed by police after a domestic incident in Buckeye that also sent a second man to the hospital, police say.
The shooting happened near Verrado Way and Meadows Drive around 3 p.m.

Police say they received various calls for reports of shots fired. Two men, a father and his adult son, were fighting on the ground as officers arrived. Officials said the son was kneeling over his father while holding a knife.
After commands to drop the weapon were not followed, one of the responding officers shot and killed the son, police said. A handgun was also found on the scene.
An officer with Buckeye police is on standard administrative leave following the incident. Officials said he has been on the force for two years.
The father was taken to a hospital with multiple gunshot wounds he received from his son. He was listed in stable condition.
On Tuesday, Buckeye police the suspect as 31-year-old Vincent Black.
The investigation remains ongoing.
