BUCKEYE, AZ — Two Buckeye sisters who were reported missing last month have been safely located.
Buckeye Police Department said Thursday afternoon that Rebecca and Rana Cox were found by Gila River police and are safe.
The pair was reported missing on September 19 after they reportedly left a foster placement home.
Police said in late September, "it appears, through contacts with family members, that the young girls are safe and are actively avoiding being found. They are possibly being assisted by people they know and trust."
No further information was given about their disappearance or how they were located.
