BUCKEYE, AZ — Authorities say a Buckeye police officer remains in intensive care, but is in stable condition after getting into a crash while on his motorcycle.
The crash happened around 1 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Verrado Way and Indian School Road, according to the Buckeye Police Department.
The officer was airlifted to the hospital and underwent surgery for a broken leg and also suffered other contusions.
The motorcycle officer was headed to a nearby elementary school when he crashed with a Jeep.
The 35-year-old officer has been with the Buckeye Police Department for 9 years.
