BUCKEYE, AZ — President Donald Trump retweeted Senator Martha McSally on Saturday following the death of Buckeye's First Officer Paul Clyde Hudson, shining light on a local tragedy on a national scale.

"AZ tragically lost First Officer Paul Clyde Hudson yesterday. A 20-year Marine veteran, Hudson died protecting others. Praying for his family and friends today," Senator McSally's tweet read.

Hudson died with two other men United States men, Ian McBeth from Montana and Rick A. DeMorgan from Florida, who all died when their C-130 Hercules tanker crashed Thursday while battling wildfires in Australia.

Governor Doug Ducey lowered the flags across Arizona at half staff to honor Hudson and his heroism.
