An investigation is underway after a single-vehicle wreck killed two people in Buckeye on Sunday afternoon.
The incident happened near 307th Avenue and Lower River Road.
According to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, the vehicle was traveling westbound on Lower River Road and lost control, ending up in the canal.
Deputies say the driver of the vehicle was ejected in the crash.
Both the driver and passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. They have only been identified as adult men at this time.
"At this time it is to early to determine if speed or alcohol is a factor in this accident," deputies said in a release.
