Fire crews responded to a house fire early Friday morning.
El Mirage Fire Department responded around 3:30 a.m. to a home near El Mirage and Thunderbird roads.
The fire began in the back of the house and had spread to the front.
Peoria, Sun City, and Surprise fire departments assisted.
Several homes around the area had to be evacuated for safety.
