A man has been arrested after a hit-and-run crash in El Mirage.
El Mirage police said 19-year-old Anthony Werner was arrested after he admitted to hitting a woman crossing the street near Grand Avenue and Thunderbird Road.
Police responded to the scene at 12:15 a.m. on Monday. When officers arrived they found a woman lying in the roadway and she appeared to be hit by a vehicle.
According to police, Werner did not stop and left the scene before officials arrived.
The 57-year-old victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
