Family displaced after Glendale house fire

A family of five have been displaced after a house fire in Glendale.

The fire happened at a home near 63rd Avenue and Missouri Avenue on Wednesday morning.

Glendale fire says the homeowner reported he was in the garage when the fire started. The man was able to alert the rest of the family members and they were all able to get out of the house safely.

The man did sustain second degree burns to 30 percent of his body. There is no word on how the man sustained the injuries.

Officials say the family will be displaced due to the damage to the home. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Glendale and Phoenix fire departments responded to the house fire.
