GLENDALE, AZ — A Glendale family is lucky to be alive after their house caught fire Sunday night.
Fire crews were called to the home near 71st Avenue and Deer Valley Road around 7:10 p.m. Firefighters say when they arrived, they saw heavy smoke and flames coming from the home.
Firefighters from Peoria, Glendale and Phoenix worked to gain quick control of the first-alarm fire which was limited to the third floor, officials said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
