Crews were driving by and noticed smoke coming from the home, according to Glendale Fire.
Firefighters used their tools to break into the home and pull the woman to safety.
Neighbors told ABC15 that the woman was elderly, blind and lives alone.
Officials said the fire was difficult to fight due to the amount of clutter inside the home.
The woman was taken to the Maricopa County Burn Unit where she later died.
Fire investigators said the fire was ruled as an accidental blaze however the exact cause was not determined by investigators as there was heavy damage and a dense living condition inside the home.
