GLENDALE, AZ — Glendale firefighters saved the day when they rescued a puppy from a hole in his owner's yard Sunday afternoon.
Fire crews say "Pudgy" is one of seven dogs that live in the home. Officials say the pup made his way into the hole, but when he tried to turn around and get out, his belly was too big and he got stuck.
Animal Control tried their best to save the doggie, but had to call Glendale firefighters for help. After hours of work, Pudgy was freed and reunited with his family.

Somehow this little pup wiggled his way into a hole and couldn’t get out. Animal control spent 3 hours trying to get him out before calling us. E154, E157 and L157 then spent 2 more hours digging him out. Thankfully he was rescued and is uninjured. Stay safe. Stay safe. pic.twitter.com/kLqlEFMubN
