GLENDALE, AZ — One person was killed after crashing into a utility pole in Glendale Tuesday morning.
Glendale police say the crash happened near 75th Avenue and Orangewood around 5 a.m.
A single vehicle reportedly wrecked into a utility pole, causing power lines to fall across the intersection.
The man driving the car was pronounced dead at the scene. A woman who was also in the car was taken to the hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.
Speed and impairment may have been factors in the crash, police say.
