Glendale Police say a man driving under the influence with a suspended license struck and killed a woman Saturday night.
Fifty-eight-year-old Demonia Sanders was reportedly crossing the street mid-block near 65th Avenue and Bethany Home Road around 9:30 p.m.
Erick Vazquez-Barragan, 34, was driving eastbound when he struck Sanders, causing her to suffer life-threatening injuries.
Sanders was taken to the hospital where she later died.
Police say Vazquez-Barragan remained on scene and was cooperative, but was arrested for DUI and driving on a suspended license.
