GLENDALE, AZ — A baby from Glendale who was missing since Wednesday was found safe in Phoenix on Friday night.
Police said one-year-old Jason Darjee went missing after the child's parents, who had lost legal custody, allegedly took the child from a home near 43rd and Glendale avenues on Wednesday.
Police say DCS removed the child from his parents, 30-year-old Jiten Darjee and 34-year-old Chhali Subba, because of malnourishment from being homeless, and parental alcohol and drug usage. The child was placed in the care of his grandparents after Darjee and Subba lost custody.
According to Glendale police, Jason Darjee was found safe in Phoenix late Friday night and both parents were taken into custody.
Additional information was not immediately available.
