Police say a pedestrian was struck and killed in Glendale Friday night.
Authorities say 65-year-old Ndingi Valens was walking along Glendale Avenue just east of 61st Avenue when he was struck and killed by 49-year-old Jesus Bastidas.
Bastidas fled the scene in his truck before being caught by police.
According to Glendale police, an impairment test was conducted and Bastidas was not found to be impaired during the incident. Bastidas now faces two felony county; one count of leaving the scene of an accident causing death/injury, and one county of failure to stay at an accident with death/injury.
Police say Bastidas was also booked on three lesser misdemeanor accident related charges.
