GLENDALE, AZ — A suspect has been hospitalized after being shot by a homeowner while attempting to enter his home Saturday afternoon.
Glendale police say at around 1 p.m. they were dispatched to a home near 51st Avenue and Cactus Road.
The homeowner told officers an unknown person was attempting to get him out of his home.
Officials say the suspect then allegedly attempted to enter the home and the homeowner warned the intruder that he was armed.
The homeowner then shot the man who was later transported to a hospital nearby.
The suspect is not being identified at this time. The extent of his injuries is unknown.
