GLENDALE, AZ — A woman was taken to the hospital with serious injuries Monday morning after a shooting at a gas station in Glendale, and police are currently searching for the alleged suspects.
Glendale police Sgt. Randy Stewart, a spokesperson for Glendale police, said the shooting was reported around 11 a.m. in the parking lot of a gas station near 51st and Olive avenues.
A woman was shot and taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, Stewart said. That woman was later said to be in stable condition.
According to Stewart, prior to the shooting, a truck was parked at the gas station and a four-door car pulled up next to it, and two people spoke to each other. At some point, the driver of the car drove away, turned around, and went back to the gas station, and someone began shooting at the truck, he said.
The woman was near the truck when she was shot.
Police said it is unclear what the relationship is, if any, between the woman and the suspects or the drivers of the car and truck. Everyone drove away before officers arrived at the scene, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
