Police say a pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Glendale Friday night.
A portion of 67th Avenue was closed down for some time after the crash occurred just north of Bethany Home Road around 10:30 p.m.
Glendale Police says a car driving northbound hit a man crossing the street mid-block.
The victim, 53-year-old Joseph Ramirez Jr. of Buckeye, was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Speed and impairment are not believed to be factors in the crash, but the incident is under investigation.
