Glendale Police Department says a major intersection was closed for several hours on Monday morning after a deadly pedestrian-involved crash.
According to officials, 58-year-old Lawrence Massaro was hit by a small, gray car near 55th Avenue and Camelback Road before 7 a.m.
The victim died from his injuries.
The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and cooperated with the investigation. it does not appear impairment played a factor in the crash.
The roadway was closed for several hours and reopened just before noon. Check traffic conditions here.
