Police have released a composite sketch of a man suspected of kidnapping and assaulting a girl in Glendale.

A teenage girl told authorities that a man grabbed her from behind and dragged her to a complex near 67th and Northern avenues on Tuesday afternoon.

The man began to remove the girl's clothing, but suddenly stopped and walked away, according to police.

The girl called 911 and police used her cell phone to figure out where she was.

The suspect is described as a heavy-set 30-year-old black male with a short afro. He was in all black clothing, including a sweatshirt and gloves.

Police released the sketch on Wednesday.
