A Valley man is behind bars accused of molesting three children over a span of 19 years.

According to court documents, Ronald Wayne Kinkead, 47, faces multiple charges of child molestation and sexual exploitation of a minor. He is being held without bond.

The investigation began in September of 2015 when a 12-year-old told Glendale police that he or she had been molested by Kinkead.

Through that investigation, according to court documents, authorities linked Kinkead to two other molestation cases in Avondale dating back to 1996 and 2000, which were reportedly not investigated.

In one case, Kinkead is accused of molesting a child between 1996 and 2002 at his Avondale home. The victim was between 6 and 12 years old at the time, records say. The alleged assaults happened while the child and Kinkead were playing games.

In the second case, another victim said he or she was assaulted by Kinkead between 2000 and 2003 at his home in Avondale.

In the most recent case, the suspect had moved to Phoenix where the alleged assaults happened.

Police said none of the victims knew each other, but the families of those victims knew Kinkead. The victims were all under the age of 12 at the time of the alleged incidents.

Kinkead was arrested on Feb. 11 in Tempe.
