A Valley family is desperately pleading for answers after a pregnant mother died following a hit-and-run crash in Glendale.

Lori Gates, 25, died nearly two months ago. Glendale police say her body was found along 55th Avenue near Bethany Home Road in the early morning hours of April 24. Police believe she was the victim of a hit-and-run.

The victim's family is now trying to spur an increase in tips after nearly two months has passed with no break in the case.

"I don't know how to live without Lori," said the victim's mother, Vicki Jones. "The world has just stopped."

Since Lori's death, the family has set up a makeshift memorial along 55th Avenue and have also passed out fliers with the hope of generating leads in the case.

"You're not supposed to bury your kids," she said. "They're supposed to bury you."

Jones told ABC15 her daughter was four-months pregnant. The baby boy did not survive.

"I'm not going to stop until I find out what happened to her," Jones said.
