GOODYEAR, AZ — Newly released video shows the tense moments as Goodyear police and firefighters rush to save a teen who had been left on a hot bus for hours.

A 16-year-old boy who lives with autism and is non-verbal was left on a Precious Home Services bus for four hours in July.

Police say the teen was picked up with seven other children to be taken to a West Valley learning center. However, when they got there, the driver didn't realize that not everyone got off.

When firefighters arrived, the teen couldn't walk and his body was covered in sweat.

The child was taken to the hospital and has recovered.

Police have recommended a charge of child abuse against the driver, 36-year-old Diana Salgado-Gutierrez. However, prosecutors have not filed charges yet.
