The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help locating a man accused of shooting and killing a woman in Goodyear earlier this month.
On June 8, MCSO deputies responded to the area of MC-85 and Estrella Parkway after receiving reports of a car crash.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they found 41-year-old Laura Hernandez-Urbina suffering a gunshot wound, officials said. Hernandez-Urbina was taken to the hospital where she later died of her injuries.
Witnesses told officials that a person in a car fired shots at another vehicle, but it's unclear as to what led up to the shooting.
Deputies are searching for Melkyseddek Munoz-Garcia, 43, in connection with the shooting. The suspect may also go by the name Octavio Olivas-Martinez.
Officials are advising that if you see the suspect, do not approach him — he is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about the case or his whereabouts is urged to call MCSO at 602-876-1011.
