Arizona State Senator Catherine Miranda is recovering after she was involved in a serious crash in Laveen.
The crash happened on Tuesday night at 51st and Southern avenues.
Miranda told ABC15 that a drunk driver ran a red light and hit her vehicle.
The senator is recovering at home and said she has “a lot to be thankful for.”
Miranda represents Arizona Legislative District #27 which includes downtown Phoenix, Laveen, South Mountain and areas of Tempe.
