LAVEEN — Members of the Phoenix police and fire departments are searching for the driver of a stolen vehicle that ended up in pond at Trailside Point Park in Laveen.
According to the Phoenix Fire Department, they received a call for reports of a vehicle submerged in a pond near 75th Avenue and Southern.
When fire crews arrived, they spoke to a witness who allegedly said he saw the car drive into the pond, then showed fire officials a video of the car underwater with the lights on and tire tracks in the grass.
Officials told ABC15 that the vehicle was stolen, and nobody was found inside the car.

At this time, officials are searching the pond for a body.
