LAVEEN, AZ — A deadly crash is under investigation and a driver who fled the scene was taken into custody, according to Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The crash occurred along State Route 202 near Laveen Sunday around 2:45 p.m.
DPS says a Honda Odyssey and Toyota Prius collided near milepost 72, causing fatal injuries to the driver of the Prius.
The Honda driver fled the crash scene on foot but was later taken into custody.
Arizona Department of Transportation showed hours worth of closures in the area due to the crash.
The cause of the crash was not immediately released and DPS did not identify either driver involved in the crash.
