Police are investigating a homicide in a Laveen neighborhood early Friday morning.
Emergency crews were first called to the scene near 59th Avenue and Baseline Road for call of shots fired.
According to Phoenix police, an unknown man with a covered face walked into a home and almost immediately encountered the 22-year-old male resident of the home.
The male resident was shot and pronounced dead at the scene. He has since been identified as Ivan Brewster.
Police say the suspect is outstanding and the circumstances behind the shooting are not yet known.
