A Laveen man's home security footage shows a courier delivering three Amazon packages by throwing them out the window of their utility van.
"I can't figure out what this driver was thinking, it was just pure laziness," said Jeremy, who did not want ABC15 to reveal his last name. "There's always something with somebody -- maybe injury, bad night -- something -- but he just didn't seem to care."
The courier is seen tossing Jeremy's package underneath the SUV in his driveway, near 43rd Avenue and Baseline Road. Jeremy realized what happened and reviewed the surveillance footage after accidentally destroying the contents of the package -- a digital meter -- when backing out.
In another delivery on the same street, Marsha Owens' package is seen being tossed across from her house into a neighbor's bush. Owens said her Amazon account showed the box was "handed directly to a resident."
In a third delivery, the courier is again seen throwing a package from the driver-side window into a front yard.
Jeremy and Owens said Amazon promised to look into the delivery issues and provided credits and, in Jeremy's case, a refund.
An Amazon spokesperson sent the following statement to ABC15:
“We have high standards for delivery service partners and expect every package to be handled with care. We've reached out to the customers to make things right and we will address this with our delivery service partner.”
